The run way lights were all that illuminated the airplane as it remained deadlocked in the downpour. From a football field away, the flashing of police lights interrupted the darkness and flared on the mass of SWAT personal that had taken position. Outside the plane, laying on the asphalt, sat two saturated duffle bags, one bulkier than the other. In the larger, four parachutes, the smaller, one million dollars stacked like bricks on a pallet. Suddenly, for the first time since coming to a stop movement could be detected inside the plane. The hatch used for boarding began to leak light as it crept to an open position. Stairs folded out and began descending silently to the ground, just feet away from where the bags lay. Onto the staircase emerged a woman, a flight attendant, whose life was in grave danger.
